Five Fifty Two

Five Fifty Two provides evidence based programming that focuses on educating families and communities at large on how to improve and maintain good health. Our programs promote health and wellness through nutrition based education, and prevention programs. The need for Five Fifty Two is supported by the results of statistical data analysis; which provides evidence of improved outcomes for individuals and communities after active participation in our education classes. These outcomes are shared with policy makers and community leaders who can influence change in communities; specifically, those communities of a lower socioeconomic status. With the constant support of these policy makers and community leaders, Five Fifty Two can continue to positively impact communities. Five Fifty Two is sustained through donations, grants, and active collaborations with our partners who share their expertise in allocating the resources of existing programs.

Mission

To educate economically disadvantaged communities on the long-term impacts of good nutrition, and physical activity; by providing education and access to related resources to empower people to live longer, healthier lives.

Vision

Nutritionally educated, self-sufficient communities with access to sustainable health and wellness resources.

Goal

Promote health and reduce obesity and dietary related illness through nutrition education, nutrition based programs, access to resources, and reinforcement of healthy food consumption and physical activity.

Long Range Goals

The long-range goals of Five Fifty- Two are to reduce the negative impact of obesity and dietary related illness, by not only providing education that increases the nutritional cognition of program participants; but also teaching the positive impacts of healthy food choices, and physical activity. In order to achieve this, we have identified two primary goals:

  1. To provide fun physical activities, and supportive environments that lead to the prevention and reduction of dietary related illness, and improved nutrition.
  2. To see increased reduction in obesity and dietary related illness; by teaching program participants and their communities how to implement healthy eating habits, and by providing them with greater access to health related resources.
