Ingredients:
- 1 pound pinto beans (rinsed)
- 1 onions (diced)
- 4 garlic (U gloves, diced)
- 2 poblano peppers (seeded and diced)
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 bay leaves
- 6 cups water (or enough to cover beans, broth also works great)
Directions
- Start by rinsing your pinto beans and removing any sand or rocks.
- Add the beans, onions, garlic, poblano, cumin, salt, and bay leaves to the crock pot. Cover with chicken broth, water, or vegetable broth until there is an inch of broth above the beans.
- Cook for 8-10 hours until beans are soft.
